Before I even left Rock Creek last time I was planning my return. On the first drive up there I knew I was under-prepared. However I've been fortunate to work through similar situations in life and figure what the hell I'm gonna wing it. Rule number 1 to winging it. Don't have high expectations. Rule number 2 is make the best out of the situation no matter how it unfolds. With that being said the first ride was a great discovery ride. I really got my bearings straight and upon arriving the second time I felt comfortable seeing a familiar place. This ride went well. Mistakes were made, but to be quite honest I enjoyed them. All in all the Rock Creek Saga will have more episodes in the future and I hope this one ropes some of you into going up there and checking it out.
I’m just a guy in Northern California that loves riding bikes. Most of my time is spent on a mountain bike. I also own a single speed for around town and commuting. Last but not least I own a cross bike. I couldn’t bring myself to buy a road bike just so I could do long road rides that had more climbing than I could handle on the SS. That was my compromise. I’m originally from Pennsylvania and have that blunt east coast attitude. Some people love it, some people hate it. Either way I wake up in the morning.
