This campground was quite the drive from where I live. I will say your first time going there makes you wonder if you are going the right way. The last 5-6 miles were on dirt roads. The campground was first come, first serve, but each spot was plenty big enough for 2-3 tents. There is NO water there, so bring everything you need. The closest store/gas station is about 30-45 minutes away. The trails were super fun and the small bike park was a blast. You could just do laps over and over again.
I'm just a guy in Northern California that loves riding bikes. Most of my time is spent on a mountain bike. I also own a single speed for around town and commuting. Last but not least I own a cross bike. I couldn't bring myself to buy a road bike just so I could do long road rides that had more climbing than I could handle on the SS. That was my compromise. I'm originally from Pennsylvania and have that blunt east coast attitude. Some people love it, some people hate it. Either way I wake up in the morning.
