The title says it all. OMG, that was the worse climb I've done in my entire life. Some of it can be blamed on the elevation, some on my lack of fitness, and some on my intelligent decision to stay up until 4am the night before. None-the-less, that was a smoker. However it paid in spades. The view, the accomplishment, the downhill, and the speechless moments were all worth that climbs weight in gold. If you get a chance to put yourself to the test, get out and give this one a shot!
I'm just a guy in Northern California that loves riding bikes. Most of my time is spent on a mountain bike. I also own a single speed for around town and commuting. Last but not least I own a cross bike. I couldn't bring myself to buy a road bike just so I could do long road rides that had more climbing than I could handle on the SS. That was my compromise. I'm originally from Pennsylvania and have that blunt east coast attitude. Some people love it, some people hate it. Either way I wake up in the morning.
