Downieville SNAFU

Downieville is always a blast. You just can't go wrong. However, you can almost without a doubt count on mechanical issues arising. That terrain is rough on a bike and if there are any kinks that need to be worked out, they will poke their head out for sure. This video was recorded during the Camp with B1KER event. We were supposed to do two runs, one at 9am and another at 1pm. This is doable. However when your first run is plagued with issues it just doesn't make sense to get all flustered about it. Enjoy what you can control. We made the best out of it and had plenty of good times. Hopefully this video gives you insight into what a run in Downieville consists of. Oh and by the way, if you don't know what SNAFU means it's an acronym from when I was in the Army. Situation Normal All Fucked Up

I'm just a guy in Northern California that loves riding bikes. Most of my time is spent on a mountain bike. I also own a single speed for around town and commuting. Last but not least I own a cross bike. I couldn't bring myself to buy a road bike. That was my compromise to be able to ride with the lady. I'm originally from Pennsylvania and have that blunt east coast attitude. Some people love it, some people hate it. Either way I wake up in the morning.
