Home Sweet Home

With all the new trails I've ridden because of the channel I haven't been on my home turf much.  This ride was fun because I was at Auburn SRA which was my go to place to ride for years.  I also got a chance to ride with one of you guys, which was super cool.   Garmin or Strava JPG or PDF Nothing to see here

Corral the Stoke: Part 2

This was the last day of the Norco trip and to be honest was a great way to wrap it up. We were tired...well at least I was but we had such an awesome time doing a few shuttles on The Corral Trail in South Lake Tahoe. Garmin or Strava JPG or PDF Norco Bikes Shoreline of Tahoe

Living in the Short Bus

I got the chance to meet pro rider Andrew Taylor from Norco Bikes while at the Norco Dealer Event in South Lake Tahoe.  Andrew was a great guy, super easy going, and had this rad bus he was living in.  Let's take a look inside! Freel’s Flatliner

The title says it all. OMG, that was the worse climb I've done in my entire life. Some of it can be blamed on the elevation, some on my lack of fitness, and some on my intelligent decision to stay up until 4am the night before. None-the-less, that was a smoker. However it paid in spades. The view, the accomplishment, the downhill, and the speechless moments were all worth that climbs weight in gold. If you get a chance to put yourself to the test, get out and give this one a shot! Garmin or Strava JPG or PDF Norco Bikes Shoreline of TahoeStuntman Chesty

Van Sickle

This was day one of three riding with the Norco Dealers. I was graciously invited to ride with them for a few days. Our first ride ended up being a double shuttle of the Van Sickle trail. It was a great start to a super fun event. Plus it was one of those trails that I've wanted to ride! Garmin or Strava JPG or PDF Norco BikesShoreline of Tahoe

Tolkan’s Treasure

This campground was quite the drive from where I live.  I will say your first time going there makes you wonder if you are going the right way.  The last 5-6 miles were on dirt roads.  The campground was first come, first serve, but each spot was plenty big enough for 2-3 tents.  There is NO water there, so bring everything you need.  The closest store/gas station is about 30-45 minutes away.  The trails were super fun and the small bike park was a blast.  You could just do laps over and over again. Stagecoach Scorcher

Apparently my aspirations were high for this ride.  It was 95 degrees and the heat just destroyed my energy level and my will to ride.  At the end of the day I did get a ride in.  As I've said before, any day on the dirt is a good day.  But this ride is a testament that some are better than others.
