The Big Chief Trail in Truckee, California is my new favorite sanctioned trail in the area. As we all know there is a lot of riding in the Tahoe area. I heard about this trail being build for quite some time and saw a few pictures of the progress as it came along. However after hearing it was open and what people thought about it, I couldn't wait to get up there. We liked this trail so much we came back two weeks later to ride it again. This was definitely up in the top three new trails I rode in 2019. If you are in the Truckee area this is definitely a don't miss ride.
I'm just a guy in Northern California that loves riding bikes. Most of my time is spent on a mountain bike. I also own a single speed for around town and commuting. Last but not least I own a cross bike. I couldn't bring myself to buy a road bike. That was my compromise to be able to ride with the lady. I'm originally from Pennsylvania and have that blunt east coast attitude. Some people love it, some people hate it. Either way I wake up in the morning.
