Lost in Tahoe II

There's nothing like waking up in the morning and not knowing where you are at.  Thank GOD I have a keen beer sense.  Oddly enough the usual suspects were out there that day trying to find their way home. Nothing to see here Nothing to see here Handup Gloves

Space Mountain Weight Loss

As I was making my way back from Phoenix I decided to stop in at World Wide Cyclery for a little tour and to get out of the car for a bit.  Michael at WWC recommended this trail so that I could spin the bike wheels for a quick ride to break up the long day of driving.  With a 6 hour drive in front of me it was really had to pull myself together and muster up the motivation to do the ride instead of just jumping back in the truck and heading home.  While mashing the way up the hill I started talking about my weight loss plans for 2018.  I'm not a dietitian, I only speak from the experience that I've had.  I also purposely simplified things I was talking about just to make them easier to digest...lol, see what I did there?  Hopefully this quick chat helps motivate at least one person out there!  Garmin or Strava JPG or PDF World Wide Cyclery

The Grizzly Trail

I've been itching to get back out the OHV park in Auburn SRA. There are still a few trails that I haven't ridden. I knocked another one out on this ride. Pretty fun. I was riding on the cautious side because I was riding solo. Because of that I wussed out on a few lines that I want some redemption on. Garmin or Strava JPG or PDF Nothing to see here

Freel’s Flatliner

The title says it all. OMG, that was the worse climb I've done in my entire life. Some of it can be blamed on the elevation, some on my lack of fitness, and some on my intelligent decision to stay up until 4am the night before. None-the-less, that was a smoker. However it paid in spades. The view, the accomplishment, the downhill, and the speechless moments were all worth that climbs weight in gold. If you get a chance to put yourself to the test, get out and give this one a shot! Garmin or Strava JPG or PDF Norco Bikes Shoreline of TahoeStuntman Chesty

Stagecoach Scorcher

Apparently my aspirations were high for this ride.  It was 95 degrees and the heat just destroyed my energy level and my will to ride.  At the end of the day I did get a ride in.  As I've said before, any day on the dirt is a good day.  But this ride is a testament that some are better than others. 400 & Something Subscriber Update

I've been laughing to myself about the intro to this video from the moment I hit the button to stop recording. LMAO, I thought it was hilarious. Aside from that I wanted to give you all an update on what's been going on.  One of my goals when I started the channel was to keep doing regular updates.  It's easy to get caught up in making the next ride video, but I think it's also important to let you guys know what's going on otherwise.  Hopefully I didn't rub you guys the wrong way with the support talk, but unfortunately it's the truth.  I'd really like to see this channel keep growing and with the support of all of you we can keep doing bigger and better things! Downieville SNAFU

Downieville is always a blast. You just can't go wrong. However, you can almost without a doubt count on mechanical issues arising. That terrain is rough on a bike and if there are any kinks that need to be worked out, they will poke their head out for sure. This video was recorded during the Camp with B1KER event. We were supposed to do two runs, one at 9am and another at 1pm. This is doable. However when your first run is plagued with issues it just doesn't make sense to get all flustered about it. Enjoy what you can control. We made the best out of it and had plenty of good times. Hopefully this video gives you insight into what a run in Downieville consists of. Oh and by the way, if you don't know what SNAFU means it's an acronym from when I was in the Army. Situation Normal All Fucked Up Garmin or Strava JPG or PDF Spare Tube
