This place gives Downieville a run for it's money. I won't say it's better. It's definitely different. It doesn't have the chunk that Downieville has, but it does have an awfully long downhill run that can be shuttled more than once in a day. Mt. Hough was initially described to me like 3rd Divide except 11 miles long with 300' of climbing. That was a pretty damn accurate statement. If you have a chance to make the drive up Quincy, Ca to check this place out, it's a must for any Northern California resident.

I'm just a guy in Northern California that loves riding bikes. Most of my time is spent on a mountain bike. I also own a single speed for around town and commuting. Last but not least I own a cross bike. I couldn't bring myself to buy a road bike. That was my compromise to be able to ride with the lady. I'm originally from Pennsylvania and have that blunt east coast attitude. Some people love it, some people hate it. Either way I wake up in the morning.
