Demo’s Flow

This was my very first time riding in Demonstration Forrest (Demo) in Santa Cruz California. It was everything I thought it was going to be. I will say thanks to Richard at Stikrd I was talked into driving up the first climb so we didn't have to pedal it and I'm glad we did that! It was still a pretty damn healthy day of climbing and riding but that made things a little better. Check out the difference between the Flow and the Braille trail. There are definitely two religions of followers between the two trails. For right now, I'll say they were both awesome and I can't wait to go back. Stikrd Shuttles

In all of the years I've been riding in Auburn, believe it or not, I've actually never shuttled Culvert and Confluence.  Richard from Stikrd came up to my house for the weekend and we set out to get some shuttles in.  Richard reached out to his buddies on the Bikes, Buds, and Brews Facebook group and next thing you know we had a party.  Between all of those guys and me consistently running into subscribers...scratch that, chipmunks from the channel, we ended up having a hell of a group.  Everything didn't quite go as planned, but hey, it's mountain biking and there will be blood! Bronson’s Back

After being gone for almost a month I finally got the Bronson back. I had some brand new rubber complements of the guys over at Worldwide Cyclery and a brand new WTB seat. At first glance the new 2.5 DHF front tire and rear 2.4 High Roller 2 looked small compared to the 2.35 eThirteen's that were on there. In the spirit of new things I tried some different camera settings that made my video really dark. #Fail I almost scraped the video but I figured you guys would rather see the content than me just toss it because I'm not stoked about the quality. Nevada City Hoot

I've heard about the trails in Nevada City for a while.  I've even watched videos on them as well as planned a trip in the past that got canceled.  However the stars didn't align until Orbie from the MTB Flowrider channel hit me up and asked if I wanted to go ride with him.  Though none of us were great planners, we somehow ended up making a fun day out of this.  Unfortunately the trails were a little more muddy than what would allow for a really fun time.  However, the plus side is I know what I'm getting into when I go back!!! Giant Trance 3 Review

Since the Bronson was still in the shop I decided it was a good time to grab another demo bike.  I went up to Folsom Bike in Folsom, Ca (imagine that) and was pleasantly greeted by the owners and the staff.  They rented me the 2018 Giant Trance 3 for the day at a low cost of $55.  That's a steal compared to most demo's start at $100. Yeti SB5 vs. Santa Cruz Bronson

This was a fun day with a bunch of YouTubers on a brand new 2018 Yeti SB5!!! It was the ultimate test of whether or not I should have bought the Yeti a year ago instead of the Santa Cruz Bronson. Nothing to see here JPG or PDF Yeti SB5 Santa Cruz Bronson Oury Lock-On Grips

Norco Demo Day – Rockville Park – Farfield, Ca

Norco bikes is going to be at Rockville Park in Fairfield, Ca.  They have invited me to come down and hang out, as well as lead a ride through some of my favorite parts of the park.  Check out the Facebook Event here: https://goo.gl/oYqQmR  I'd advise bringing your bike just in case they run out of demo's, of course have it in a manner it can be locked up.  It'll be fun to see some of you out there!

South Bidwell Epic

I have been wanting to get up to Bidwell Park in Chico for quite some time for a few reasons. One, there are mountain bike trails there. Two, Sierra Nevada Brewing is there as well!!! That's a win win in my book! This ride was extremely challenging. For some reason I was completely out of my element and it was not a good ride to be in that space. Overall the climb was a bear, but not a complete shit show. The last part up 10 Mile Road was extremely steep. I won't lie, I walked a bunch of that. However the downhill that followed was really fun, but extremely pedally. I will say that initially after the ride I was a little disappointed in how pedally the downhill section was compared to the amount of work put in on the climb. However, any day on the dirt is a good day, and I was sooooo in my head that day that I'm sure I wasn't rolling through things fast enough to keep the right amount of momentum. With all that being said, I will go back. After watching the footage of the ride a lot of the fun parts…

Granite Bay SS

I truly wasn't sure if I was going to even finish editing this video. The initial reason for going out was purely to get Clint's wife out on the trail. Her first experience mountain biking was several years prior and she broke one of her fingers on the ride. As you would suspect that injury really kept her from getting on a mountain bike again. This was the first ride to try and trick her into being a mountain biker. We went out to Granite Bay which is about as mellow as it gets in this area. I used to bring the kids out to ride here when I was first getting them into riding. Since the Bronson is in shop I decided to take out the CX bike. I hadn't been on it for several months and literally had to wipe the dust layer off of it. Garmin or Strava JPG or PDF Nothing to see here
