Norco Demo Day – Rockville Park – Farfield, Ca

Norco bikes is going to be at Rockville Park in Fairfield, Ca.  They have invited me to come down and hang out, as well as lead a ride through some of my favorite parts of the park.  Check out the Facebook Event here: https://goo.gl/oYqQmR  I'd advise bringing your bike just in case they run out of demo's, of course have it in a manner it can be locked up.  It'll be fun to see some of you out there!

South Bidwell Epic

I have been wanting to get up to Bidwell Park in Chico for quite some time for a few reasons. One, there are mountain bike trails there. Two, Sierra Nevada Brewing is there as well!!! That's a win win in my book! This ride was extremely challenging. For some reason I was completely out of my element and it was not a good ride to be in that space. Overall the climb was a bear, but not a complete shit show. The last part up 10 Mile Road was extremely steep. I won't lie, I walked a bunch of that. However the downhill that followed was really fun, but extremely pedally. I will say that initially after the ride I was a little disappointed in how pedally the downhill section was compared to the amount of work put in on the climb. However, any day on the dirt is a good day, and I was sooooo in my head that day that I'm sure I wasn't rolling through things fast enough to keep the right amount of momentum. With all that being said, I will go back. After watching the footage of the ride a lot of the fun parts…

Space Mountain Weight Loss

As I was making my way back from Phoenix I decided to stop in at World Wide Cyclery for a little tour and to get out of the car for a bit.  Michael at WWC recommended this trail so that I could spin the bike wheels for a quick ride to break up the long day of driving.  With a 6 hour drive in front of me it was really had to pull myself together and muster up the motivation to do the ride instead of just jumping back in the truck and heading home.  While mashing the way up the hill I started talking about my weight loss plans for 2018.  I'm not a dietitian, I only speak from the experience that I've had.  I also purposely simplified things I was talking about just to make them easier to digest...lol, see what I did there?  Hopefully this quick chat helps motivate at least one person out there!  Garmin or Strava JPG or PDF World Wide Cyclery

World Wide Cyclery

On my road trip back to Sacramento from Phoenix I had the opportunity to stop by World Wide Cyclery to take a tour of their Headquarters and Distribution Center.  Michael from their Marketing Department was super knowledgeable and a really cool guy to chat with.  Everyone that I spoke to had passion and the shop had a great vibe to it.  What they are doing is different.  It's a hybrid of the typical brick and mortar shop as well as an online retailer.  Hopefully you all enjoy meeting World Wide Cyclery as much as I did.  Don't forget to stop by their site and take a look around! South Mountain

I had the opportunity to squeeze a ride in on the National Trail while I was in Phoenix, AZ for work. This ride was so much fun. It gave me a little taste of what it will be like to travel with the channel and meet subs in a different area. Aside from that the terrain was like no other I have ridden in before. Overall the views were stunning and the trail was one that I wish I was a local so I could go back and do over and over again. After this ride I have a new respect for all of the riders climbing in that area! You guys rock...literally! Garmin or Strava JPG or PDF Nothing to see here

YouTube Threesome

Rockville is a super fun place to ride.  Lot's of technical sections that can be super challenging as well as trails that are easy enough for first time riders.  The one thing that makes the place better is good people to ride with.  On this ride I was fortunate enough to spend it with MTB Savant and MTB'ing Adventures as well as a few of our other friends.  C.lock and Johnny Rocket were there to keep us infamous YouTubers grounded.  It was truly a fun day with good people, and great riding.   Garmin or Strava JPG or PDF Clif Shot - Citrus

Brush Hero’s Revenge

The first time I did a review on the Brush Hero I got some comments that my bike really wasn't dirty. I'll be dead honest, this thing works wonders for me. To each their own, however, I can testify that I've been cleaning my bike way more than I used to because of this product. After the muddy ride in Georgetown I figured it was a perfect time to put the Brush Hero and Soap Star to the test again! Georgtown Shuttles Pt. 3

In the third episode of this three part series Brian Kennedy of BKXC and I continued to have some great conversations and a blast ripping through the OHV park in Georgetown, Ca.  California Expeditions really showed us a great day.  We literally rode until all of our sunlight was gone in honor of Alex from Singletrack Sampler.  Originally I was going to make this a 2 part series but the subscribers on Patreon said that those conversations shouldn't be lost in the final YouTube version.   Garmin or Strava JPG or PDF DynaPlug Micro Honey Stingers Clif Shot Blocks Huck Norris Pedro's Tire Levers California Expeditions
