As I drove towards Rock Creek I came to the quick realization that I was under prepared. I just used google to get directions to Georgetown and figured once I got there I'd take a look at the map and get exact directions. I didn't once think that there wouldn't be any cell signal in Georgetown. That was the beginning of a bunch of bad planning decisions that I made that day. My printed map was too small to read. So I was left with what was on my phone. However, if for some reason my battery died or I crashed and broke my phone...I'd be ass out. My understanding of how Strava works should have been tested before I left Sacramento. Apparently you can't just bring up a ride and follow it. Doh! Nor does it work to zoom around when there is no cell signal. Either way, after I drove all the way up there I decided to overcome the inside voice that was telling me to just leave.
