New Bike Day – Santa Cruz Bronson

This video is a full review of my 2017 Santa Cruz Bronson.  It was really tough for me to slim this down as much as possible.  I had a lot to say about why I bought it and all of my feelings about the different components.  Not all of it made the final cut.  Sometimes I'm a bit long winded so I figured I'd spare you all.  The route that we rode that day was basically climbing for the first 6 miles and then mostly descending the last part down.  It was really wet and muddy.  On the way down I could tell how much the trail conditions really slowed me down.  There were a lot of nice little natural launches that I would typically catch a little air on that I just didn't have the speed to hit.  I also was not used to the new suspension and was mis-timing my preload to catch air.  I'm sure that will work out in a few rides.  I'll also need to keep an eye out for trail maintenance days in Annadale because I really didn't expect it to be that wet and at the end of the day we need to make sure as bikers that we represent the biking community as well as possible. I hope you all enjoy the video and look forward to making the next one.

I'm just a guy in Northern California that loves riding bikes. Most of my time is spent on a mountain bike. I also own a single speed for around town and commuting. Last but not least I own a cross bike. I couldn't bring myself to buy a road bike. That was my compromise to be able to ride with the lady. I'm originally from Pennsylvania and have that blunt east coast attitude. Some people love it, some people hate it. Either way I wake up in the morning.
